
Junior League of Prince George’s County, MD - $1,500

The "Walk in Faith" Kids Shoe Donation project provides children in the most vulnerable families with shoes. In partnership with St. Ann’s Center for Children, Youth & Families, a longstanding service provider in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, this project aims to provide new, well-fitted shoes to children facing significant adversity. Over 35 new pairs of shoes will be purchased from the funds awarded through this grant. The project was awarded $1,500 to purchase shoes for at St. Ann’s Center for Children, Youth & Families Center.
Montpelier Elementary School, Laurel, MD - $1,500

Montpelier has been recognized by the Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education (MAEOE) as a Maryland Green School since 2017. The Maryland Green School communities represent a significant potential to uphold and enhance environmental sustainability in schools and on school grounds. The Community Garden project will address fresh food insecurity issues by providing sustainable space for students and families to grow fresh produce, learn about nutrition, and connect with nature. Awarded $1,500 to establish a community garden that will provide the school community with access to fresh, affordable produce.
Caregiver Biz, Inc. - $1,000

Resource Fair for Caregivers. Caregiver Biz supports and services family caregivers, as they are often the foundation of a healthy family and community. Caregiver Biz provides resources to ensure that caregivers of seniors can actively participate in community activities. Caregiver Biz also focuses on providing educational programs and workshops to support caregivers as they navigate the life priorities of loved ones. The Resource Fair project provides a central place where caregivers will be able to connect to receive the support needed and resources they are looking for, as well as a place to talk to various organizations that offer support for the caregiver and their family members. Awarded $1,000 to host the Caregivers Resource Fair.
